AlKoura League Annual Council Meeting


Dear AlKoura League members and friends,

The AKL Annual Council Meeting is scheduled for Sunday March 15, 2009 at St. George Orthodox Church in West Roxbury MA at 12:00PM. The main part of the agenda will be the election for the following board responsibilities: President, Treasurer, and 2 Directors.

The official invitation letter to this meeting with more information will be sent out in the near future.

AKL Membership Drive 2009

Dear AlKoura League members and friends,

On behalf of the board of directors, I invite you to become a member of AlKoura League, Inc. or renew your membership if you are already a member. AlKoura League was founded in 2006 and incorporated in the state of Massachusetts in the United States of America. It is organized exclusively for philanthropic, charitable, cultural, scientific and educational purposes. The primary objectives of this organization are:

  • To engage in charitable, and humanitarian activities.

  • To promote preserve and support the AlKoura-Lebanese culture, language heritage, traditions, and history.

  • To support the interests and welfare of the Lebanese community through educational, charitable, philanthropic, social welfare, disaster relief and public relief works.

  • To conduct such other activities and programs and to make such distributions to organizations in connection with or in furtherance of the foregoing purposes as may be carried out by a by a corporation exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

By becoming a member of AlKoura League, you are helping the good cause of this organization and contributing to its success and prosperity. Please refer to the bylaws of the organization to lean about the different membership classes and member privileges and responsibilities. For your convenience, we provide two ways to apply for membership: Online and By Mail. You can access the membership page at: http://www.alkoura.org/membership/. A membership application is also attached to this email.
