Anfeh.com Third Annual Party
 

Anfeh.com held its Third Annual Party on the 15th of May, 2004, at the St. George Orthodox Church hall in Boston. Its main goal was: Supporting The Community Polyclinic (Mustawsaf) of Anfeh.

The party atmosphere was excellent, and it was very clear people were enjoying their time and happy. It was a good occasion for many Anfeh people to meet too. The food by Samir and May Moussa was very good, and the raffle gifts were many and valuable. Wedding Video, Inc. was videotaping the event, and the singer George Maalouf kept people dancing and doing Dabkeh until 1:00AM.

After the introduction presented by Mr. Michel Sassine (Click Here to listen to the introduction), Hani Al-Dayaa gave a speech summarizing Anfeh.com activities in the past years. Click Here to read Hani's speech.

Five university graduates from Anfeh were recognized for their graduation and other academic achievements, and Ziad and Hani presented everyone of them with a certificate of recognition and a gift. The graduates are:

- Elsie Al-Dayaa (Class 2003, Bachelor Degree in Communications Arts with minors in Spanish and French).

- Chafic Al-Damaa (Class 2004, Master Degree in Computer Engineering). Unable to attend the party.

- George K. Issa (Class 2004, Bachelor Degree in Finance and MIS).

- Camil Jreige (Class 2004, Master Degree in Computer Engineering).

- Tony Farah (Class 2004, Master Degree in Construction Project Management).

Also, Mr. Michel Sassine was recognized for his continuous support for Anfeh.com and the end of his term as member in the municipality of Anfeh. Click Here to listen to Michel Sassine's recognition part.

We are pleased to announce that we were able to collect $1150 for St. John Monastery at the party (bringing the total to $2000), by selling St. John pocket calendars. We give great thanks to Mr. Hamid I. Daaboul (an Anfeh Worldwide Committee volunteer) and his wife Gladis who were in charge of selling the calendars at the party. Amazing job, Hamid and Gladis!

 

We are also pleased to announce that we were able to raise $2080 for the Mustawsaf from the party and the post-party quick fund raising. Click Here for more information.

 

We give great thanks to everyone who attended the party or supported it without attending! For those who could not make it to the party, we wish you were with us and hope to see you support future Anfeh.com activities.
