Sister Catherine, the nun living at Our Lady of Al-Natour monastery in Anfeh, visited the Boston area in September of 2004 hoping to raise funds for projects at the monastery. Anfeh.com organized a meeting with her on the 24th of September in the house of Hamid and Gladis Daaboul. Click Here to read the meeting announcement. The meeting went very well. Many people came to see her and contributed, and they left with souvenirs from the monastery. Sister Catherine was able to raise ~$1500 during the meeting (she has a list of the contributors), and many of the people who could not attend the meeting promised to contribute soon. Anfeh.com thanks Hamid and Gladis Daaboul for having all of us at their beautiful house and thanks all the people who attended! Below are pictures from the meeting. They are not very clear but viewable. Move the mouse over a picture to read a description. Click on it to view a larger version. Sister Catherine brought with her a CD-ROM that includes pictures, maps, an archive, and more concerning Our Lady of Al-Natour monastery in Anfeh and the projects that took or are taking place there. They were prepared by sister Catherine and Eng. George Mikhael Sassine. The content of the CD-ROM is really interesting, informative, and the pictures of the monastery are beautiful. Anfeh.com made it available online for all to witness what Sister Catherine has achieved in our Lady of Al-Natour monastery with her faith, hard work, and determination. Click Here to start. Updates: - Sister Catherine went back to Lebanon on September 30, 2004. Many people contributed in the few days before she left, and the total amount she raised exceeded $5000.
