Gibran Makari Public School

Gibran Makari public school is the highest-level school in Anfeh. It is an intermediate school, and around 150 students are enrolled in it as of year 2003.

The late Gibran Makari established the school, and its name was The School of Equality (Madrasat Al-Musawat) at that time. Then, he donated it to the Lebanese government, and its name became Gibran Makari public school. As many other public schools in Lebanon,  the schools lacks support from the government. Without some private support from the people of Anfeh overseas, the school would be in a very bad shape.

The private support helped the school improve its laboratory, have few computers, and maintain its restrooms and buildings. There was a plan to renovate the whole school and add more buildings to it, but no serious action has been taken so far.
