The Old Serail and Girls Public School.

During the late Ottoman era, Anfeh became the center of Al-Koura district during Winter, and aOLD PICTURE: The Serail. Serail was built in its southern area. Nowadays, the first floor of Serail is a public school for girls, called The Girls Public School. The second floor is a house for the ministry of postal service employees.

The school is a small one and offers classes from Kinder Garden (Petit Jardin) to elementary. Around 75 students are enrolled in the school as of year 2003, and all of them are from Anfeh. As many public schools in Lebanon, the Girls Public School in Anfeh needs more maintenance and financial support to keep up with the academic progress of other schools around it, especially the private ones.
